You are lock on a house haunted by a mysterious creature that hear evry sound you can make. You need to found the keys to get out of the house.

PROJECT CONTEXT

Silence is a School Project made during my 2nd year on the theme of "Ghost" with a team of 8 students. We where two Programmer, me and Theo Farnol

My job: Technical Game Designer

- Devlop the AI of the Ghost

- Set up of her spawn point and Behaviors

- Implement of the art assets

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: Instanciate system

In the game, the player will face a Ghost that haunt this house and will entrave him during is seek of the keys that open the main doors. This Ghost is totaly blind and dosn't see the Character, but it have a great hearing that can spot sound from far distance.

To show this, the AI have two differents ways to work: Patrol or Spawn

- Patrol

Inside the three Patrol Area of the map, the Ghost will be instanciate automatcaly before the Player can see it. It will move around the room unless he hear the Character, and will chase him in that case.

- Spawn:

Evrywhere in the map, if the Character made a sound to loud, the Ghost will spawn and start to chase the Character at the last position know. Before spawning the Ghost, the game check if another one is already spawned, in that case, this one gonna chase the Character.

​

To not disturb the imersion, the AI will spawn at the nearest spawner the Player don't see, to always come frome dead angle.
