​Prometheus Unboundis a strategy game based in antique Greece about building and managing warriors to fight the Greek's gods pantheon.

It has a big survival aspect in which you will have to survive to enemy waves that keep coming up.

​To prevent these attacks build an army and a fortress to defeat your enemies.

PROJECT CONTEXT

Prometheus Unbound is a RTS selected to be our "End of studies Project". A first Prototype was developpe with the Core Team a year ago, but we started from scratch to refresh the project and restart on good bases with new people.

GAME DESIGN

At the start of the new production, i join the Team as Technical Game Designer. The first month, i only work on the Game Design of the game by add new mechanics, refining the scope of the Global and Demo version of the project and setting up Confluence and Jira.

- Xmind:

With the time that we have, I decided to use mind maps for the majority of our design.

By using Xmind, we are able to have a better overview of our design and it is also a powerful tool in case we need to cut some features to gain production time.

 

This first tool allow us to write down every system and determine which systems where necessary to have a coherent project scope.

- Confluence:

During the setup of the project, I found out that many companies were using Confluence, so I choose to try this tool.

​

I found out that this was the perfect tool to ensure that the information is well kept and accessible for everyone.

​

So we deploy every document to this platform. And used them through every process of the production.

- Jira:

By using confluence, it was necessary to use Jira to allow us to be efficient and to link Confluence pages to jira task was a huge help to gain time.

 

Using this tool allow me to understand how the team was working and how we had to prioritize.
